Celebrated my bday!! Food was great. We started off w/ the oysters & the ceviche. Portion size of the trio is more for 2ppl instead of 4. We had a variety of sushi rolls, sliders, fried chicken, fries, & yuca!! Service was just as great!! Attentive & friendly. Ambiance was beautiful, loving the views of the city & the weather was perfect making it even more special!! I will def keep coming back!! Keep up the great service too Kaiyo!!

Oh my gosh... Maggie was literally a fxcking superstar employee, her service solely went beyond expectations. We ordered our food and drinks when we arrived. It was right after the Giants game and it was packed. I kid you not, she got us our food and drinks in sub 10 minutes... my group and I were astonished by her attitude and service. People like her truly make being a foodie so much more pleasurable. I overheard people complimenting Anna too. Keep up the great work here guys. This place is a gem to The City

I made a last minute reservation for a party of 5 for 7:30 pm just in case and the staff were so kind and accommodating to us since we got a booth seating with lower tables. The view was very nice though, being able to see the skyline and still stay warm in the area we were in. We placed some orders for drinks and bites which all came out pretty quickly one after another. They also let us know if things were running behind and if we wanted to adjust items. Miso Butter Corn Ribs - The miso butter made this dish so good. The flavor and richness paired with the crunchy corn ribs and the slight spice from the togarashi was perfect for a light snack. Karaage Pollo - The pieces weren't too big but it was a good portion size and they were lightly crispy that went well with the rocoto aioli. The aioli was creamy with a mild spice and nice pepper flavor. Aji de Gallina Mac & Cheese - I would come back over and over again for this mac and cheese alone. The cavatappi pasta with the chicken, mozzarella, queso fresco and aji amarillo creamy sauce was so indulgent. It was hot in the griddle they served it in which made the cheese perfectly melted and the dish was balanced with savory, sweet, richness and yet not too heavy where you want to eat the whole thing plus more. A great rooftop bar with nice views, fun drinks, tasty bites and very friendly staff. Highly recommend going for a happy hour or during holiday season and making a reservation in case of their busy times.

My friends and I came here over the holidays to check out the rooftop bar. Parking was a bit tricky since it's primarily street parking, and given that it's SF, it's hard not to feel slightly anxious about your car getting bipped. The bar is located inside the Hyatt Place Hotel, though there seems to be a back entrance guarded by a security guard that leads to a hallway with an elevator. The rooftop bar itself is nice. It seems to be divided, with half of the rooftop designated for diners and the other half for the bar. They had five holiday drinks on the menu, and I went with the Chimney Hot Chocolate. It was delicious. I also tried my friend's Holiday Haha and Peruvian Toddy, and both were the perfect blend of cozy Christmas flavors. Of course, one of the main draws of a rooftop bar is the views. The view here was okay. You get a great look at the span of the Bay Bridge and a bit of the city skyline. However, it was dark when we visited, so it wasn't easy to take a good picture of ourselves with the view. Also, the best vantage point was in a small corner near the bathroom, which was a little limiting. Seating was mostly outdoors with a cover, but the space felt warm and toasty thanks to heaters. They also had some nice sofa seating, which made it a comfortable place to hang out. Overall, Kaiyō Rooftop is a fun spot for drinks with a solid atmosphere. Just keep in mind that parking can be tricky and the best views might require a little maneuvering.

Went here for drinks with friends and had an amazing time. The rooftop views, the staff and the shareable plates are such a good vibe to the place. We didn't make any reservations so we just had to sit at the bar cause it was a busy night since it's baseball season!!! Will definitely come back for a table and invite more friends :)

Came here after a concert in the city . Really cute vibes . The server was kind and quick . I really love the decor as well . The ceviche was lacking a bit in flavor ? The drinks were definitely delish and the reason why we came to top off our night

Did not try food because we already ate, but the drink I tried was very tasty and sweet, dangerously sweet should I say. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. We were walked to the elevator and escorted to the bar. This is place is easier to enjoy the couches if a reservation was made. Ambiance was very warm and lively, as everyone was just having a good time near the heat and the rooftop view.
